Longevity & Healthy Ageing in Mallorca
A Medical Approach to Long-Term Health
Longevity is not about predicting exactly how long you will live.
It is about understanding your health today, identifying medically relevant factors and making informed decisions that may support health and function over time.
At Galatzó Health, Dr. Indhira Ghyssaert approaches healthy ageing through personalised medical assessment rather than predetermined longevity protocols.

HEALTHY AGEING
Longevity Is More Than a Number
No single test, biomarker or score can fully define how an individual will age.
Medical history, metabolic health, cardiovascular factors, nutrition, sleep, physical activity, medications, existing conditions and other relevant factors can all contribute to the broader picture.
The objective is not to promise a longer life.
The objective is to understand relevant aspects of your health and support better-informed medical decisions over time.
Understand today.
Plan thoughtfully.
Follow what matters.

What Can Influence Healthy Ageing?
These areas are examples only. They do not represent a fixed longevity programme and do not imply that every patient requires investigation in each area.
PERSONALISED MEDICINE
There Is No Universal Longevity Protocol
People age differently, have different medical histories and face different health considerations.
For this reason, Galatzó Health does not begin with a predetermined “longevity package”.
The process begins with the individual.
Dr. Ghyssaert reviews the relevant medical context before determining whether particular investigations, follow-up or other medical steps may be appropriate.
One person.
One medical context.
An individual strategy.
BIOMARKERS & TESTING
Should I Have Extensive Longevity Testing?
Not necessarily.
The availability of a laboratory test does not automatically make it medically useful for every patient.
Testing should have a relevant clinical purpose.
Where laboratory investigation may add useful information, Dr. Ghyssaert can determine which tests are appropriate based on the individual medical assessment.
Results should then be interpreted within the wider clinical context rather than treated as isolated indicators of longevity.
More biomarkers do not automatically mean better medicine.
HEALTHY AGEING
What Does Healthy Ageing Mean?
Healthy ageing is not about trying to stop the natural ageing process.
From a medical perspective, it can involve maintaining appropriate medical follow-up, understanding relevant risk factors and addressing modifiable health factors where clinically appropriate.
Depending on the individual, areas such as metabolic health, cardiovascular health, nutrition, sleep, physical activity and other medical considerations may form part of that discussion.
The priorities may also change over time.
PREVENTION & LONG-TERM HEALTH
Healthy Ageing Begins Before Old Age
Long-term health is not relevant only later in life.
Understanding health patterns and medically relevant risk factors earlier can help inform decisions about appropriate follow-up and future care.
This does not mean that future disease can always be predicted or prevented.
It means using the information available today to make more informed medical decisions.

PHYSICIAN-LED CARE
Healthy Ageing With Dr. Indhira Ghyssaert
At Galatzó Health, healthy ageing begins with an individual medical consultation with Dr. Indhira Ghyssaert.
Her approach focuses on understanding the patient’s medical context, current concerns, existing results and long-term health priorities before determining which next steps may be appropriate.
Where another medical specialist, investigation or different level of care is required, appropriate referral can be recommended.
INTERNATIONAL PATIENTS
Healthy Ageing Assessment in Mallorca
Galatzó Health welcomes Mallorca residents and international patients seeking a physician-led approach to long-term health.
Patients who already have recent laboratory results, imaging, medical reports or other relevant investigations may bring them to their consultation for review.
Existing information can be considered before determining whether additional investigation may be appropriate.
IS THIS RELEVANT FOR ME?

— You would like existing blood tests or medical reports reviewed.
— You want to discuss metabolic or cardiovascular health.
— You want to review nutrition, sleep, recovery or energy within a medical context.
— You want to understand whether additional investigation may be appropriate.
— You are interested in preventive health and healthy ageing.
